Soo glad I took a chance on this unfamiliar author! This was incredibly romantic and at times heart wrenching. I really hope there is a sequel or that this is the start of a series.

At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the heroine, but hung in there while reading the sample. What makes the story so great is her development over time. It's not all smooth sailing for her and that just makes the story that much more believable. Throughout the story she sticks to her guns, voicing her opinion but not in a snarky/spoiled brat way but more as someone who is brave and with integrity.

The hero was also someone you felt a little wary of at first, but his declaration of love for her almost brought tears to my eyes and I've read a ton of romances to become somewhat jaded.

This is kind of space opera when they're in space and other times when they're on the hero's home world, like a medieval world in the way people interact with each other. I also felt like the world building was similar to the samurai culture with echoes in the clan/warrior descriptions, honor, and offense easily taken.

Warning: This was such an engrossing book, I was up til 3am!

Stardancer A Tellaran Novel edition by Ariel MacArran Romance eBooks Reviews

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book- it's awesome. Definitely enjoyed reading this- I liked the characters, the world the author created, and the fast-pace. I could have used a little less emphasis on them accepting each other's cultures, but it's still good. Definitely recommend
This is an extremely entertaining read about a science fiction romance that spans galaxies and creates two very distinct cultures. While I would a slightly longer epilogue and resolution the story was very interesting; I will just have to wait for future books to expand more of that world. The main characters were very well done.
Really enjoyed this story. old fashioned honor mixed with the flexibility of a finely crafted sci fi society. I like both genres and this author has combined both to create a great story. Can't wait for the next book. I want to visit this world again and find out how our heroine confounds society again.
This is why great sci-fi romance is written! The misconceptions between two races and how they are overcome, along with military action, court intrigues, and, of course, love that overcomes two very flawed personalities who are also strongheaded. Wow. Well, well, worth the time to read this one. A very few editing glitches that were pretty easy to overlook, especially since I've read some of the ghastly self-published stories that detract your attention. You won't be disappointed.
I really enjoyed this book. Once I started I just couldn't put it down. I am someone that tends to flip between 3 to 4 books at a time. I really need a book to draw me in right away or my A.D.D takes over. This book grabbed my attention and kept it. I just couldn't put it down. Found myself staying up until 2am to finish it and was crying at the end.

I am not always into Sci-fi romances. Most of them have been done to death. However, this one was fantastic. I don't want to give anything away. Just read it. You will not be disappointed.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters were easy to like and identify with. I also appreciated that this is a full story with a beginning, a middle, and a conclusion.

The only problems were that sometimes in the beginning the main female character had some reactions that were kind of contradictory. She woke up in bed with her captor the first time and freaked out. Completely normal reaction to me under those circumstances, right? And then she was like oops and apologizing? But that didn't happen very often after the beginning and I was able to enjoy the rest of the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Seer and was looking forward to another story of the Tellerans. I must admit to being disappointed. First of all, Kinara was quite annoying for the first half of the story. She was immature, impulsive, and didn't seem to have a lick of sense. She was enslaved by a massive warrior...why would she continue to berate and argue with him? I have to admit that at one point, I was hoping he'd take her over his knee! But Aidar was also annoying - he spouted about honor all the time, and how his people respected their women, yet he kept things from Kinara, broke his promises time and time again, and expected her to know how to behave and to conform to his ways without question. I did like that Kinara became stronger and smarter as she took the lead of the clan, and Aidar showed more emotion and the ability to compromise. I would have rated this higher had the ending not been so abrupt. We are left wondering what happened to Tedah and Linnara as well as Dael and Nisara. I also wished they had returned to the Az'kye world and seen what changes Kinara had been able to bring about.I was also really hoping to see Arissa and Jolar from the Seer and was disappointed that they didn't have at least some small role. Perhaps the next story in the series will answer some questions and allow us to revisit some characters.
